Ileana Rusu s-a născut la 27 noiembrie 1976 în satul Ciuciuleni, raionul Hâncești. Este al cincilea copil în familia lui Gheorghe și a Elizavetei Rusu. A absolvit Universitatea de Stat din Moldova, Facultatea de Jurnalism.
Debutul literar a avut loc în 2005, cu placheta de versuri „Regele surd”. Publică în antologii românești și este inclusă în „Enciclopedia scriitorilor români contemporani de pretutindeni”.
Jurnalistă de investigații, prezentatoare radio și TV. Simțul umorului? Da. Simțul responsabilității? Da. Simțul realității? Mai puțin.
